Teaching unions warn of English school recruitment crisis

As the new school year gets under way, the five main teaching unions are warning of a looming recruitment crisis in England.

They say schools are facing a "perfect storm" of a pay freeze and rising pupil numbers.

However, the government insists it is attracting higher quality graduates into the profession.
