Calculators banned for Year 6 Sats tests

Calculators have been banned in maths Sats tests in England this year for Year 6 pupils - aged 10 and 11 years.

A number of leading academic maths experts are warning it is a backwards step to remove them.

Assistant headteacher James Dathan and Kumon's Jessica Abram told BBC Breakfast about the merits of maths with and without a calculator.
