EMA is 'choice for all' says Andy Burnham

Andy Burnham has called on the government to abandon its plan to end the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) for teenagers, saying it "might open doors that otherwise might remain closed".

The shadow education secretary warned against cutting the grant during a House of Commons debate over the plan, saying it was an attack on the aspirations of young people.
