Brazilian pupil on 'broken' education

Education is one of the major issues being debated in the run-up to Brazil's elections on 3 October.

For those who have money there are top private schools available but the quality of many state schools lags behind.

Eric studies at Madre Paulina State School in the poor suburb of Itaim Paulista, east of Sao Paulo. He is 16 years old and is in the last year of high school.
