Gove wants more focus on core subjects

The Education Secretary Michael Gove thinks that students need to focus more on English, Maths and other academic subjects when taking exams at 16.

He wants to introduce a form of baccalaureate for students who gain at least five GCSEs at Grade C or above in core rather than vocational subjects.
