Gove claims schools building plan had a number of flaws

Michael Gove has said the scrapped Building Schools for the Future programme was "misconceived" and suffered a number of flaws.

The education secretary made his comments as he appeared before the Education Select Committee.

He has been under pressure in recent weeks following the decision to cancel the £55bn redevelopment scheme for hundreds of schools in England.
