Bank of England governor says UK economy hampered by 'Brexit effect'

While global growth has accelerated, the UK is suffering a "Brexit effect" in the short term, according to Bank of England Governor Mark Carney.

That means the UK economy is now 1% smaller than the Bank had predicted before the EU vote, he says.
