East Timor's bid to attract tourists

East Timor's economy is heavily dependent on income from oil and gas reserves.

In an attempt to reduce its reliance on a finite resource it is attempting to diversify - and one of the areas it is focussing on is tourism.

Still, very few visitors travel to the country, and its beaches are empty.

The BBC's Timothy McDonald reports from East Timor.
