It's been nearly a decade since Macau overtook Las Vegas as the world's biggest gambling hub. It rakes in more than seven times the Las Vegas Strip each year.

But the Chinese territory has been struggling recently and faces a growing number of rivals who are also trying to cash in on the Asian appetite for gambling.
