'Nothing is off-limits' in Network Rail plan
The rail boss asked by the government to come up with a revival plan for Network Rail has told the BBC that everything is on the table, including putting part or all of the company into private hands.
In her first interview with a broadcaster since she was appointed, Nicola Shaw also suggested that she may recommend changes to the way the industry is regulated, although she was keen to point out that it's still very early days,
The future of Network Rail has been up in the air ever since the embarrassing admission last June that, just one year into a five-year upgrade plan, the company had lost control of timetables and budgets.
