Are hydrogen powered cars the future?

The Toyota Mirai is the world's first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell car.

Named after the Japanese word for future, Toyota is hoping the almost five metre-long car will take hydrogen power mainstream.

Selling for $60,000 (£38,884), the Japanese car firm plans to make 700 this year.

The BBC's Tokyo correspondent Rupert Wingfield-Hayes takes it for a spin.
