Toyota's fuel cell car of the future

Toyota is bringing its fuel cell car closer to the mainstream. The saloon will go on sale in the UK, Germany and Denmark next year.

The Japanese company has already announced that it will be sold in Japan and California. Having been a pioneer in hybrid car technology, Toyota is hoping to repeat the success with its new hydrogen-powered vehicle.

Trouble is, there are not many hydrogen refuelling stations - yet. Didier Leroy, president of Toyota Motor Europe, tells the BBC's Theo Leggett that the company is in this for the long haul.
