India election: Result is key for foreign investors

Foreign firms investing in India, is a major election issue.

Global companies have, of course, been interested in selling to the world's second most populous nation but their appetite has faded over the last few years due to some unfriendly policies.

Starbucks and Tesco have become the first foreign retailers there, but will the trend continue?
