Bonuses 'incomprehensible' after RBS announces £8bn loss

Royal Bank of Scotland - mainly owned by the taxpayer - has announced annual losses of just over £8bn due to a combination of fines and compensation payments.

The bank has also set aside more than £570m for staff bonuses but said more job losses are inevitable.
