Netherlands GDP contracts amid continued austerity

The Netherlands has confirmed that its economy is still in recession.

The Dutch economy shrank by 0.1% in the second quarter while GDP contracted by 1.7% over a year.

The country's coalition government has yet to agree further austerity measures.
