Money struggles 'getting worse'
More than half of UK adults are struggling to keep up with their bills and debt repayments, compared to just over a third in 2006, a survey suggests.
The research by the Money Advice Service, an independent body set up by the government, suggests fewer people were planning ahead and putting money aside for emergencies.
Overall 52% of the 5,000 people questioned said they were struggling, but in Northern Ireland some 66% said they were having difficulties.
Simon Gompertz reports.
