Hutchison may announce unit sale

Hong Kong-based Hutchison Whampoa will be reporting half year results later on Thursday.

The sprawling conglomerate, controlled by Asia's richest man, Li Kashing, is expected to post a modest increase in profit.

But analysts are going to overlook the bottom line this time around, as they look for details on the possible sale of the supermarket at the heart of the success story.

Juliana Liu reports from Hong Kong.
