Buoyant markets see return of day traders

The upswing in global stock markets continues with another strong start to the week that has seen shares climbing in Asia.

It follows another record-breaking week, when shares in New York hit an all-time high on Friday.

In London, the FTSE 100 index hit its highest level in more than five-and-a-half years and the boom has lured back day traders.
