Meat scandal unlikely to put off Chinese

Questions are being raised over the safety of China's pork industry after thousands of dead pigs were found dumped in a Shanghai river. More than 16,000 hog carcasses have been discovered so far.

It's just the latest in a string of food scandals to hit China in recent years and has affected sales at local butcheries.

But one research firm says the scandal probably won't put the Chinese off their taste for pork.

Richard Brown, director of Gira, told the BBC's Leisha Chi that Asia is set to drive growth in the global meat market.
