Singapore minister on foreign labour

Singapore's government has moved to cut the number of low-skilled foreign workers that companies can employ.

The move is aimed at reducing the city-state's dependence on foreign labour.

It comes amid growing concerns over rising living costs that many blame on immigrants, but there are fears that a clampdown may impact economic growth.

Singapore's second minister of trade, industry and home affairs, S. Iswaran has been defending his government's actions in an interview with Sharanjit Leyl.
