Yen 'not the cause of woes of Japan's electronics firms'

The current woes of the Japanese electronics sector should not be blamed on the high value of the yen, an analyst has told the BBC's Asia Business Report.

Gerhard Fasol of Eurotechnology Japan said that instead the companies suffered from a "lack of valid business models".

With both Sharp and Panasonic recently reporting large losses, Mr Fasol said that the sector in general had not made any profits for 15 years.
