Afghan carpet industry threatened

Making carpets is a national industry in Afghanistan, and with the best ones fetching up to $100,000 (£60,000), it is a vital source of earnings.

What is more, the carpetmaking industry is one of the few providing employment to women.

But the industry is under threat from cheaper rivals from Iran and Turkey.
