Extended Sunday trading hours come to an end

Relaxed Sunday trading laws, introduced during the Olympics and Paralympics, allowing big shops in England and Wales to open longer, and later, come to an end on Sunday 9 September.

Several larger retailers are already calling for the move to be made permanent, but the organisation representing thousands of small shops says its members have seen trade fall by 20% during the Games.
