Is global manufacturing slowing?

There are fresh signs of weakness in the global economy.

Around the world manufacturing slowed in August, adding to existing worries about Europe's debt crisis and a slowdown in Asia.

Surveys of purchasing managers from China to Europe and the US all pointed to a downturn in manufacturing activity.

The BBC's Michelle Fleury reports from New York.
