South Korean manufacturers optimistic about future

South Korea's industrial production rose by a more-than-expected 3.3% in January from the previous month.

The jump comes amid concerns that the eurozone crisis may hurt demand for Korean exports and dent growth of Asia's fourth-largest economy.

The BBC's Seoul correspondent Lucy Williamson says the mood among the country's leading manufacturers is upbeat.
