Tough times hit High Street names
Thousands of jobs are under threat at the discount department store TJ Hughes.
The Liverpool-based business has 57 stores across the UK and employs 4,000 people.
If it closes it will be fourth High Street name to go bust in a week.
Meanwhile the chocolate retailer Thorntons has announced that up to 180 of its shops could close over the next three years .
