BP faces losses of £3.1bn after Gulf of Mexcio spill

The cost of cleaning up the Gulf of Mexico oil spill has pushed BP to its first annual loss in almost two decades.

The company lost £3.1bn in 2010 and is to sell two refineries in the United States.

But BP has announced it will start paying dividends to shareholders again, which were suspended after the oil spill last April, as John Moylan reports.
