Chatsworth House treasures up for sale

Help

Thousands of treasures uncovered in attics and storerooms at one of Britain's most famous stately homes are to be sold at auction by Sotheby's.

Chatsworth House in Derbyshire has been the principal family seat of the Dukes of Devonshire since the 17th century.

Everything an aristocrat would ever need is included in the sale - from fine furniture and chandeliers, to a full-sized billiard table and a wood and leather upholstered sleigh.

Arts Correspondent Rebecca Jones visited Chatsworth to find out more.
