Motorcyclist killed in collision in East Yorkshire

A motorcyclist has been killed in a collision involving a lorry in East Yorkshire.

Police said the lorry was travelling northbound on Hull Road, Skirlaugh, at about 1030 BST on Tuesday.

It is believed the motorcyclist, thought to be a man from South Yorkshire, struck the rear of the vehicle.

Police would like to speak to the driver of a silver car who may have witnessed the collision.

The car is described as a Nissan Almera or Nissan Primera.

Officers would also like to speak to other motorists in the area at the time who may have seen the incident.

The motorcyclist has not been formally identified.
