The funeral of former Gloucester City and Forest Green Rovers chairman Colin Gardner has taken place.

Taunton-born Mr Gardner, who was awarded an MBE in 2006 having raising over £1m for charity, died last week at the age of 69 after a long illness.

He was a huge supporter of non-league football and was instrumental in turning around the financial fortunes of both Minehead and Gloucester City.

His funeral was held in Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire on Tuesday.
