Gloucestershire villagers urged to reclaim knickers

People in a Gloucestershire village are being asked to reclaim any underwear which may have been stolen in recent weeks.

About 20 pairs of knickers and a number of bras were discovered at a property in Bussage and a man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.

Det Con Bee Morris said he wanted the garments returned to their owners.

He said: "People may not have given it much thought, believing the dog has got hold of them or they have been lost."

The 20-year-old man was arrested on 27 June and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Det Con Morris, of Cirencester CID, said: "We need to determine whether or not these items have been taken from people's homes."
