Firefighters tackle Borders brush blaze

Firefighters have been tackling a brush fire blaze on a section of an estate in the Scottish Borders.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service was called out to the Charterhall Estate in Berwickshire at about 1700 BST on Wednesday.

An area of about one square kilometre was affected by the fire and six engines were sent to the scene.

Fire services were expected to remain on site for some time to monitor the situation.
