Robbers hold men up at gunpoint for car in Belle Vue

Armed robbers held a man up at gunpoint and then stole his car in Greater Manchester.

The 27-year-old and his friend were getting into his gold Ford Mondeo in Redgate Lane, Belle Vue, at 1900 BST on Monday.

A white Ford Connect van pulled up, a man got out and pointed a black handgun at them and made them get out of the car before fleeing in it.

Neither of the men were hurt in the incident, a police spokesman said.

Ski mask

The man with the gun is described as black, with a medium build, dressed in black clothes and wearing a black ski mask.

One of the other men was white, about 6ft tall, with a heavy build and gingery stubble on his chin.

Pc Ania Ostafijczuk said: "It must have been scary to have a gun pointed at him, but I can reassure this victim we are doing our best to catch these robbers.

"If anyone saw the gold Mondeo, probably in tandem with the white van after the robbery then I would urge them to get in touch."
