Man stabbed repeatedly in Greater Manchester house

A 46-year-old man has been stabbed repeatedly during an attack at a house in Greater Manchester.

The man suffered stab wounds to his neck, buttocks, groin and arm while at a house on Fernclough Road, Harpurhey, at about 2130 BST on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his injuries were described as "not life-threatening".

Police have appealed to nearby residents to contact them if they saw anybody running away from the house.

Det Insp Nick Hughes said: "Despite being stabbed several times the victim's injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

"We believe the incident happened inside a house before the offender or offenders ran away. Did you hear or see anything suspicious around that time?

"If so, you may not have thought much of it at the time but it could help us catch whoever did this."
