Injured Snowdonia climbers airlifted by RAF helicopter

Two climbers have been taken to hospital by an RAF rescue helicopter after they were injured in separate falls in Snowdonia.

Both were on Saturday, with the first on Cneifion Arete, in the Glyders, when a man attached to his ropes suffered spinal injuries.

The second man injured his leg in a fall on Y Garn.

Both were taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd at Bangor by the helicopter, which came from RAF Valley, Anglesey.
