Nurse on attempted murder charge after woman burnt

A psychiatric nurse is due in court accused of attempted murder after a woman was taken to hospital with burns following an incident in north London.

The 50-year-old victim is said to be critical but stable in an east London hospital.

Aiah Tondoneh, 43, of Shoot Up Hill, north London, has been charged with the attempted murder of the woman at a house in Islington.

He is due to appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates's Court on Monday.
