Coastguard drink warning after Falmouth sea rescue

Coastguards have issued a warning to party-goers after a man was rescued from the water in Cornwall.

The alarm was raised when the man got into difficulties off Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth on Saturday evening.

After being brought ashore the man, who was unhurt, was taken into custody by police officers.

Watch Officer Ritchie Williams from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said people should not attempt to swim after drinking alcohol.
