Work to improve Nottingham's pedestrian and cycle links

Pedestrian and cycle links into Nottingham city centre are being improved as part of a £6.8m scheme.

Work to improve connections between the city centre, Sneinton and St Ann's is expected to start on Monday as part of the Connecting Eastside Project.

Pavements and cycle lanes will be widened on Lower Parliament Street at the junction of Heathcoat Street and Cranbrook Street.

The work is expected to be completed by early September.

New paving will be laid and pedestrian crossing installed as part of the project.

The city council scheme is being funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the government.
