Tests carried out on body found in Telford landfill

A post-mortem examination has been carried out on the body of a man found at a landfill site in Shropshire.

The unidentified body was found by a worker at Granville Recycling Centre in Grange Lane, Red Hill, Telford, just before 1130 BST on Friday.

West Mercia Police said they hoped the test results would help with identification and also determine how long the body had been at the site.

The scene remains sealed off. Anyone with information should call police.
