'Droppings' restaurateur before Norwich Crown Court
A restaurateur who breached health and safety rules has been given a 12 month conditional discharge after failing to surrender to bail.
Yoonh Wong, 31, of London, ran the Szechuan Inn in Railway Road, Downham Market, Norfolk.
He admitted health and safety offences after inspectors found rat droppings in the kitchen, Norwich Crown Court heard.
He was fined £5,000 in his absence when he failed to appear at the court in June and ordered to pay £3,000 costs.
Katherine Moore, representing Wong, said her client had not realised the date for the hearing had been changed.
