Derbyshire man charged with importing drugs

A Derbyshire man has been charged with conspiracy to import controlled drugs after being arrested at Heathrow Airport.

The 39-year-old man, from Ripley, was detained by the UK Border Agency after returning from Morocco on Sunday.

He has also been charged with money laundering and is due to appear before magistrates in Uxbridge at a date to be fixed.

Derbyshire Police said two men had subsequently been arrested in Ripley.

The men, who are both in their 40s, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to import controlled drugs and money laundering.
