Strabane man charged with Donegal murder
A County Tyrone man has appeared at Dublin's Special Criminal Court charged with murder.
On Wednesday, Martin William Kelly, 35, of Barrack Street, Strabane, was charged with the murder of Andrew Burns, 27, in February 2008.
The body of Mr Burns was found with gunshot wounds near a church in the village of Doneyloop, County Donegal.
Mr Kelly was remanded in custody by the three-judge non-jury court until 20 July.
The court heard that when the charge of murder was put to the accused, he replied: "No comment".
In March, Mr Kelly was charged with the unlawful possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, in connection with the same incident.
It is believed Mr Burns had been previously injured in a shooting blamed on dissident republicans. The Real IRA denied involvement in the murder.
