Climbing instructor injured in cliff fall in Cornwall

A 27-year-old climbing instructor has been injured after falling nearly 40ft (13m) down cliffs in Cornwall.

The man, from Camelford, was leading a group of other climbers at Sennen Cove on Wednesday afternoon.

He was rescued by a team including coastguards from Land's End and the Sennen Cove inshore lifeboat.

A helicopter from RNAS Culdrose airlifted him to the Royal Cornwall Hospital. He is believed to have sustained spinal injuries.

His exact condition was not known, coastguards said.
