Two more arrests over fatal Maidenhead fire

Two more people have been arrested in connection with the death of a 23-year-old woman in a house fire in Berkshire.

The victim is thought to have been visiting the property in Moor Lane, Maidenhead, when she died in the early hours of Friday.

Thames Valley Police said a man and a woman, both aged 19, were arrested earlier and are in custody.

Two teenagers who were arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder have been released on bail.

Post-mortem examination

The pair, aged 16 and 19, were arrested at their homes in Slough.

A number of people escaped from the house, which was badly damaged, and one man sustained leg injuries.

A post-mortem examination found the victim, who has not yet been identified by police, died from the effects of breathing in smoke.

Her family has been informed.

Thames Valley Police have appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at about 0020 BST on Friday to come forward.
