Drill thieves rob ticket machines in Swanage

Thieves armed with drills have stolen cash from two metal ticket machines in a Dorset car park.

Police believe the robbery at the King George's car park at Victoria Avenue in Swanage on Sunday would have involved 30 minutes of drilling.

The drilling, at about 0400 BST, may have disturbed people in the car park, which is used overnight by camper vans.

Police are urging anyone who may know of someone with a large number of £1 and 50p coins to contact them urgently.
