'No motive'

It is not known what the others were wearing at the time of the attack.

Officers from Strathclyde Police have been speaking with local residents and shop owners and are currently checking CCTV.

Det Con Murray Rolley said: "At this time we have no clear motive for the assault, and our main focus is to establish the circumstances for the attack and bring those responsible to justice as quickly as possible.

"Thankfully the victim was not critically injured, however we are all too aware of the consequences of using a knife, and this attack could have been much worse."
