A second man dies after stolen car crash near Dundrod
A second man has died following the crash involving a stolen car near Dundrod in County Antrim.
He was Patrick McCallister, 24, from Twinbrook. Conor Rules, 23, from Dundrod, died in hospital after the accident on Monday.
The crash happened on the Leathemstown Road at about 0610 BST. Six men were in the car which was the only vehicle involved.
Two of the men remain in a critical condition.
Two other men who were not seriously injured were arrested in connection with taking and driving the car. Both of them have since been released on bail.
All six men, who are aged in their 20s, were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Police said the Subaru Impreza car the six men were travelling in was stolen from the Maralin Avenue area of Knockmore overnight between 27 June and 28 June.
"The car went into a field and the occupants were ejected from the car," John McPolan from the ambulance service said.
"Two people had to be resuscitated at scene, three of them were taken to hospital with critical injuries."
Mr McPolan said those at the scene described it as horrific.
"It is a fast road and there are a lot of bends and difficulties," he added.
The Leathemstown Road was closed at the Cochranstown Road junction following the crash, but has since reopened.
