Counter-terrorism seminar for Suffolk farmers

Farmers in Suffolk will be taught counter-terrorism measures as part of a police seminar on crime prevention.

Police said they wanted to make farmers aware that fertiliser is a known ingredient of bomb making.

During the seminar at Lavenham village hall on Wednesday, officers will ask farmers to safely store large quantities of fertiliser.

They will also be told to report any thefts in case detectives need to follow it up, a spokeswoman said.
