Longest-serving US lawmaker Robert Byrd dies, aged 92


The longest serving Senator in American history, Robert Byrd, has died at the age of 92.

He had represented West Virginia since 1958. Senator Byrd's death is not expected to change the majority of President Obama's Democratic party in the Congress.
