Cyclist airlifted after collision
A badly injured cyclist was airlifted to hospital after falling off his bike during a club run in Dunkeld on Sunday.
The 62-year-old man fell off his bike and hit a wall on the A822 Amulree to Dunkeld road near Ladywell railway bridge at about 1230 BST.
He was taking part in an organised run with the Dundee Wheelers club, along with more than a dozen other cyclists.
The man was airlifted to Glasgow's Southern General Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.
The cycle club run started in Dundee, proceeded to the Sma' Glen, Amulree and Dunkeld before concluding in Dundee.
Tayside Police appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw cyclists travelling on the A822 Amulree to Dunkeld road between 1200 BST and 1230 BST to contact them.
